Tenuate is effective in short-term management of obesity. It stimulates the central nervous system thereby increasing heart beat rate and blood pressure, resulting in a reduced appetite or hunger.
Each tablet is of 75 mg. Tenuate comes in two forms:

Immediate release tablets (Tenuate)

Controlled release tablets (Tenuate Dospan)
Use the tenuate pills as directed by your physician. Crushing or chewing them will destroy the long action and may cause increased side effects. Swallow the pill with a glass of water at least one hour before the meal. Not to worry, if you miss a dose, never take a double dose this may cause some side effects. Taking tenuate pills may cause sleepiness so avoid taking it late in the day.
Tenuate’s Storage
Store tenuate pills at room temperature below 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) and that too in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. Keep it at a place that children could not access .
